Continuing the saga of hosting Royal Weddings, the city of Udaipur is now ready to witness another Shahi-Shaadi in March, that of Sanjit Singh Maker, son of prominent industrialist and Chairman of BHO Group, Ajit Singh Maker.

What will make this royal extravaganza more special is the eco-friendly theme. The marriage is claimed to be the first eco friendly wedding in the country, says UdaipurPost, a Hindi newsite while talking to the COO of the company Vikram Singh Maker.

According to the website, the royal wedding function will start from 1st March and will continue till 4th March. Almost all 5 Star Hotels of Udaipur are booked for the wedding and many notable Industrialists will join the magnificent wedding reception at Hotel Jagmandir Palace.

Udaipur to host first Royal Eco Friendly Wedding“Every vehicle going to be used in the marriage will be run on bio-diesel, which will be arranged from a factory based in Debari, Udaipur” said Vikram Singh Maker.

Dr. B.L Choudhary, a scientist who is assisting Vikram Singh has informed a Hindi News site that 50 auto rickshaws have been taken on rent, and all of them will run on bio diesel and have environment related posters on them.

The function will start from 1st March with a welcome for the guests. On 2nd March, there will be a Sangeet program at Zanana Mahal; the Phera ceremony will be on 3rd March at Jagmandir and the last function will be at Leela Palace on 4th of March.

Most of the lighting will be done through bio-diesel lamps, for which 1,100 special earthen lamps are being prepared at Shilpgram.

Ajit Singh is not only environment conscious, but also attached with the culture of Rajasthan and that’s the reason he has ordered special Rajasthani attire for all his guests.
