Udaipur to witness Asteroid HM10
On July 7th, the Asteroid HM10 which is 100 meter wide in diameter will pass near Earth at a distance of 44,162 Km. Although this may seem far, in relative terms it is actually fairly close with an LD distance-measured by how many times it would take us to get to the moon- of just 1.1.

The asteroid, almost the size of Gandhi Ground is one of the biggest asteroids among other asteroids that will pass near Earth from 20th June to 20th July, as informed by Pacific College of Basic & Applied Science’s director Prof S.N.A Jaffrey, Dr. Mukesh Shrimali and Assistant Prof Rashmi Joshi.
The specialists in Udaipur will witness the asteroid with a 6 inch telescope from 8.30 PM till 4-5 AM in the morning.
