There exists a fairly large sized group belonging to the Dawoodi Bohra(youth) community of Udaipur in the United Arab Emirates.

Away from home, they take it upon themselves to bring the members of the community together on most of the occasions like Ramadan, Eid-Ul-Fitr, Moharram, etc. to serve a congregation, observe the occasions together and share their joys and sorrows.

This Eid-ul-Adha, like every year, most of the members of the community got together at the residence of Hussaina Attari in Deira, Dubai and offered the Khutba Namaz in the early hours of Sunday, November 6, 2011. The Prayer congregation was led by Zoeb Alamshah.

Subsequent to the prayers, the group proceeded for a picnic that they had arranged at Mushrif Park, which is on the Emirates Road, Dubai. Members of the community residing in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi participated in the Prayers and the Picnic.

Aftab Attari, at whose home the Prayer was performed said, “We look forward to all these occasions with a lot of enthusiasm as it gives us an opportunity to get together and overcome the feeling of being away from home”.
