The Udiapol circle construction that has been going on for some time by the Udaipur Municipal Council has finally found its developers and caretakers in HZL.
An agreement to the effect has been signed between HZL and the Udaipur Municipal Council, which will be effective from 2012 for Five Years. The contract addresses construction, maintenance and caretaking of the Udiapol Roundabout.
The contract in detail includes guidelines given by the UMC, based on which the construction will be completed. One of the requirements of the guidelines is to give the roundabout a heritage look, for which HZL will be procuring the stone from Chittor.
Further, the main circle diameter has been reduced by 1.5 – 2 feet to facilitate removal of traffic congestion around the roundabout.
Rajni Dangi, Chairperson of the UMC told UT that the work will commence immediately and is expected to complete within two months.
