A cloudy Saturday brought along unexpected thunder and rain showers in the city of Lakes today afternoon. Light to moderate rain was reported in most of the city areas including the countryside, resulting in a drop to the swiftly rising mercury.

Intermittent rain started at around 1:30 pm and continued till 2 pm. Light drizzle and thunder however continued till 3 in the afternoon.

Sudden change in climate disrupted routine life of Udaipurities. The humidity levels went up leaving behind a very sweaty feeling.

According to some weather forecast websites, there are chances of more rain showers and storm till tonight.
