Shakira, an American Pop star is scheduled to visit Udaipur on 15^thNovember 2011 for a private party where she is also expected to perform live.

Accoring to news reports, a three day (November 13 to 15) extravaganza to celebrate the 80^th Birthday of Real Estate tycoon Kush Pal Singh, the Chairman of DLF will begin from November 13 at Gurgaon and New Delhi. Many known Bollywood stars are expected to attend the celebration. “But we hear that the bigger surprise has been reserved for Udaipur.” As reported by TOI

The function will start at Gurgaon, to be subsequently followed by the release of Singh’s autobiography at the DLF Mall in VasantKunj, New Delhi and finally culminating with what is expected to be an exhilarating performance by the Pop diva Shakira at Udaipur; followed by the screening of a short movie made on Singh.

To make the Udaipur event more exciting is the probable participation by Shahrukh Khan in the function.

Shakira emerged as a Colombian and Latin American singer in early 1990s. She gained worldwide popularity with her English hit ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ (2000).  Her song ‘WakaWaka (This time for Africa)’ was chosen as the official song at the 2010 FIFA World Cup held at South Africa.

Shakira last visited India in the month of March 2007 for her concert in Mumbai.
