Water levels in the lakes in and around the city have started receding rapidly with 167 water bodies in the Udaipur division at sub-zero water levels. Water bodies at sub-zero level include Chhota Madar which is one of the feeders that flows into Lake Fatehsagar.
Out of the 201 water bodies in and around Udaipur, 167 are at sub-zero level and are either completely dried up or have stagnant water in them. The water level (in feet, above zero level) at the notable water bodies in Udaipur are as follows:

The city has started receiving pre-monsoon showers and monsoon is expected to enter the region between June 22nd and June 26th.
For a city that lives by its lakes, prayers, hopes and expectations are all high for a good monsoon season.
