Women Groups rallied across the city
As a part of the post-celebration events of the International Women’s Day which was on 8th March, a mass car rally was organized today by various women’s group of the city. The rally comprised of more than 40 women’s groups and almost all of them indulge in social activities.

Nearly 500 women participated in the rally, which started in the morning at around 10am from the Municipal Corporation’s office at Town Hall and passed through Durga Nursery, 100 ft, Fatehpura, Sukhadia Circle, Delhi gate and concluded at Town Hall in the afternoon.
To conduct the event successfully, a joint committee was made under the leadership of Pushpa Kothari (Patron), Dr Veena Sanadhya (Chief Coordinator) and Jyotsana Jain (co-coordinator) with members including Indira Bordia of the Inner-wheel club, Sudha Bhandari of Devendra Dham Mahila Mandal and Bela Jain of Navcharan Mahila Samiti.
Dr. Veena Sanadhya, President of Rotary Meera Club told UT that the objective of conducting this rally was to spread a common message to everyone. She said, “By targeting the social system, every small and big group of people is demanding their benefits today and we, the women of India should stand first in the queue to get all those advantages.”
“We demand one third of reservation for women and special consideration for those who are living in difficult circumstances” explains Veena. The rally also promoted unity, harmony and system of joint family.
