Wooden Plank Checks Overflow at Fateh Sagar

Let’s thank God of Rain for continuously showering his mercy over the City of Lakes due to which we are enjoying the scenic beauty these days. Indeed these are our lifelines. As the lake Udaisagar has started overflowing due to supply from Lake Fatehsagar and Lake Swaroop Sagar, administration has ordered to attach wooden slots to stop the overflow of Lake Fatehsagar so that extra water can be collected in the lake which has a total capacity of storing 252 MCFT of water which will apparently rise to higher level after putting the planks. Main source of Lake Pichola, Sisarma River is flowing that continues to supply water to Lake Swaroop Sagar, and as a result it is overflowing 5 inches while famous picnic spot at Nandeshwar Canal is flowing 1 foot. Today, it didn’t rain the whole day but slight drizzling was reported in some areas of the city. The channel gates of Lake Udaisagar have been opened to 1 and half inches which boosted the water flowing in the canal connected to Lake of Vallabh Nagar. The atmosphere of Udaipur has completely changed from last many days, picnic spots are overcrowded in every weekends and holidays. This coming weekend we expect large number of people visiting all nearby lakes and canals to enjoy the mesmerizing nature.
