Pressure, Pressure and Pressure! Is it what the Youth of Today is meant to deal with all the time? Look around and see those faces that once promised to take on the world with a spark in their eyes and zeal in their spirit. They now come across as damped and depressed souls. So what has gone wrong needs an eye-opener. Commercialization of education has led to the sprawling of engineering and management colleges across the length and breadth of the country. These colleges produce lakhs of engineering and management graduates every year. However the dilemma is that there is an extreme shortage of jobs for these unemployed skilled workforces. Moreover the quality of education imparted further worsens the chances of getting jobs.

After paying huge fees for so called engineering or management education, a few selected ones make their way through the placement while a significant others struggle to meet the ends in an economy that is offering scarcity of jobs.

Influence of Internet and liberal culture of West have led to maturity of the Youth prematurely; however the pressure of performance everywhere has made them emotionally weak. They get easily hurt and react without thinking. Peer pressure adds up to the already intensified pressure cooker of settled career with high pay package. All these challenges of life at such tender age introduce them to Depression and Drugs.

It is apathy on behalf of the government as it failed to create enough jobs for the skilled current youth brigade. Not surprisingly, the depressed youth gets easily slipped into anti social activities for earning their bread. In a country marked by lack of opportunities, the youth becomes an easy prey for anti social elements who exploits them.

Youth is in dire need of Love and Compassion to take on the pressures of life. Youth needs to be groomed to be emotionally strong. So love them unconditionally and make them believe in their abilities even in the darkest hour.
