Maruti, Mahindra and More: 4 New Car Models Set to Launch in September
UdaipurTimes, September 2, 2026 | Automobile Updates: The Indian car market is in full swing with new model launches ahead of the 2026 festive season. Various companies are gearing up to launch multiple vehicles. Several important car launches are set to take place in September itself. Major companies like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Renault and Skoda are all set to launch their new models in September. The list includes the Maruti Baleno facelift, Mahindra Thar facelift, Renault Triber Turbo and Skoda Slavia facelift.
Maruti Baleno Facelift
Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the new version of its popular car Baleno will be launched in India on September 5, 2026. The new Baleno is getting several important changes in its interior and exterior design. However, the car will still have the same 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 90 bhp of power. A CNG model will also be available. Inside, the car will feature a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charger, new seating trim and a new cabin theme. The exterior design will also see minor changes.
Mahindra Thar Facelift
The facelifted version of Mahindra's popular 3-door Thar is also coming in September. The new model will feature several designs inspired by the 'Thar Rocks'. These include a double-stacked 6-slat grille and newly designed 5-spoke alloy wheels. Some features of the 'Thar Rocks' will also be added to the 3-door model. There are no significant changes in terms of engines. As before, the 1.5-liter diesel with 119 bhp, 2.2-liter petrol with 132 bhp and 2.0-liter turbo petrol engines with 152 bhp will be available.
Renault Triber Turbo
Finally, the Renault Triber is getting a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This engine, which is used in the Renault Kiger, is capable of producing 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. There will be options for 5-speed manual and CVT automatic gearboxes. The biggest news is that the new Triber Turbo model will also be available with a factory-fitted CNG kit.
Skoda Slavia Facelift
Skoda Auto India is also bringing a new version of its Slavia sedan. This 2026 model will get a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine combined with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Other engine-gearbox options will remain the same. The new Slavia will feature a 10.25-inch digital driver display and an updated 10.1-inch infotainment system with AI assistant. Also, the massage function in the rear seats is going to be one of the attractions of this model. Several changes have also been made to the exterior design of the car.
