Father: As you ought to know him!

Father: As you ought to know him!

Sitting in the lawn with Father while he advices you on how to prepare for the exam must be boring but Sitting with your Father on FS one fine evening, where he tell you tales of what FS was like when he was your age would be definitely fun and interesting.

Father: As you ought to know him!

Sitting in the lawn with Father while he advices you on how to prepare for the exam must be boring but Sitting with your Father on FS one fine evening, where he tell you tales of what FS was like when he was your age would be  definitely fun and interesting.

Being a Father is the Toughest Job as they say, and I won’t dare doubt that.  Don’t know about the others but I have seen my father working hard to run a family while he was never unknown on my progress in Studies and how am I doing in other things in life.

You may never know, but he would constantly keep a watch on what you are up to, and won’t even utter a word (let alone the scolding) till you’ve crossed a limit.  He needs to be patient, rough, attentive and lovingly all at the same time. And, that’s not EASY!

We all want him to be our friend, but how many of us take the first step to do so?  We all think, he is being ‘rough’ on certain occasions; but we would do the same being in his shoes.  It’s not a ‘play-day’ being a father, you got to take decisions which may sound harsh for once, but will be Good in the long run.

Expecting ‘Father as a Friend’ is good, but try for once to consider him as a mentor instead of a Friend.  He has a life-long experience, first hand ‘FAQs’, which would help you grow yourself.  And, by the time you enjoy his mentorship, you’ll realize that you both would be Friends.

Proven, that children are close to their Mothers than Fathers, because she is a shade which will protect you, no matter what blunder you have done; but you got to get the zest behind that reproach of your Father to know what your actual mistake is.

At times it gets annoying when He asks you same question again ‘n’ again, but once you were the same in adolescence and he used to answer every time.  He may sound grumpy when you want to go on a night-out but it’s just he cares about you.  He may not be happy when you score 90/100, but he just wants you to be on top.

One can never assume what it takes to be a Father, a person responsible for the entire life of an individual.  He works hard to get the best for you, he work shifts to get you into the best school/college, and he may even drop the idea of ‘caste-marriage’ just to see you happy with your love.

It is just that it takes guts, love and commitment to be a Father.  So, let’s respect that entity who showed us this world with his vision and never turned his back on us when we were in need. Happy Father’s Day, Dad!
