In the not so very distant past, the United States of America handed willingly handed over power to the 'Good Taliban' in Afganistan. Now it is the turn of 'Good Al Qaeda' to take charge of a fragmented Syria.

However, whereas the 'Good' Taliban got Afghanistan through protracted negotiations and a peaceful entry in Kabul, the 'Good' Al Qaida alias Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), led by Mohammad al-Jolani, have entered Damascus in trying conditions through the path of conspiracy and deceit.

While the Good Talibans have brought about a state of stability and peace in Afghanistan, without giving any concession to their creators and ruling the country as per their own agenda, the same just can not be said or predicted about the Good Al Qaida rulers in Damascus.

At a time when Israel was showing signs of fatigue fighting with non-state adversaries, the man who had been shouting from the roof top against Israel, secretly planned and executed a diversionary act to change the situation in favour of Israel. Israel will now onwards execute its own agenda, now that both Hamas and Hizbullah are left alone. All three of their sources of power having withdrawn due to surrender of the  Assad Army, much like that of the then Afghan Army.

With the help of their traditional backers and some of the members of OIC, Israel will draw a new map of the Middle East. Now, as per Erdogan, that there are only two leaders, viz. Putin and himself remaining to manage world affairs, the world will be watching a new play in geopolitics.

As of date, whereas Russia and China seem to be paper tigers, the US is the master of global geopolitics. It will keep on creating all sorts of Al Qaidas, Talibans, ISISs, etc and branding them Bad and Good as per its convenience.

In the mean time, the Muslim Ummah will have to wait for another Salahdin Ayyubi and the Turkish President to accomplish his grand agenda of revival of Ottoman Khilafat.
