Helmet is undoubtedly the hottest subject  in the city, since the compulsion of wearing it came into action, Udaipur is virtually divided into two groups of people, one who are supporting the law and other who are opposing it.

As usual not common citizens but different political parties started their own operations justifying or not justifying the proposed law of wearing helmets while riding 2 wheelers bikes/motorbikes.

I won’t name any particular parties but there are some logical points at both ends, first let’s see why one party is opposing the compulsion of wearing helmets?

They say: There are many more important issues other than helmets which authority is ignoring like illegal parkings, illegal vendors on footpaths, indolent traffic police who are completely unconcerned about how some people are breaking traffic laws in front of their eyes.

One political group has also warned RTO and Traffic authority to start a campaign against wearing helmet and will demonstrate publicly if they won’t stop forcing people to wear helmets.

Helmets – YES or NO!The one who are justifying the law has only one objection, they are upset of those poor and jobless guys selling duplicate and cheap helmets on roadside.

Today, almost all such roadside helmet sellers are forcefully moved out. Alok Vashisht – Superintendent of Police, Udaipur said that these roadside helmets are not ISI approved hence it may cause serious injuries if accident occurs.

S.P. saheb is right but there are shopkeepers too who are selling fake helmets, there are medical shops too who are selling expired medicines, who cares of someone’s life in India? And especially of a common citizen, no! life in India is for rich and corrupt politicians who just look for a right moment to start their mission of “virodh” or “hadtaal” certainly that’s the true reality and we all are well aware of it.

Well, there is no way a common public can openly say their views and I think this (UT) is the best medium to come up. Write your comments below and we’ll try to make authority read it and make their decision without any political inspiration.
