Entertainment knows no end. Lake city Udaipur has a lot of places for the locals and tourists to spend leisure hours. Apart from the various picturesque picnic spots, wonderful shopping areas, eat-outs, game zone for the kids, lake side camel rides, boating, children’s parks, puppet shows and movie theatres the city is also known to host light and sound shows as well.

The places where these shows are held are City Palace, Moti Magri which has a large statue of Maharana Pratap atop his faithful horse Chetak and Doodh Talai Gardens.

City Palace

City Palace hosts a fabulous Light and Sound show at Manek Chowk every evening. It introduces the history of Mewar Empire through 12 episodes both in English and Hindi which last for an hour.

Moti Magri

Moti Magri also holds light and sound show, bringing forward the 1000 year rule of Mewar.

Doodh Talai

Doodh Talai garden is basically a rock and fountain garden where people can enjoy the view of an extremely beautiful sunset and also enjoy viewing the entire city. The large 3 tiered fountain dances to the tunes of music which consists of both traditional and filmy music.

These are the places where a person feels elated and any Udaipurite, no matter how many times he watches these shows, feels proud to be a part of an empire which is known in history for its valour.
