Maharana Jagat Singh I (1628-1654) son of Maharana Karan Singh, known as the greatest builder of the Mewar dynasty built he built the famous Jagdish Temple in 1651.
Maharana Raj Singh I (1654-1680) son of Maharana Jagat Singh I married the princess of Kishangarh to save her from Aurangzeb . He was a great administrator and a patron of art and music. He built the Rajsamand lake in 1660.
Maharana Jai Singh (1681-1698) son of Maharana Raj Singh I was a diplomat who accepted alliance with Aurangeb realising the Mughal power. The credit for Jaisamand lake goes to him.
Maharana Amar Singh II (1698-1710) son of Maharana Jai Singh who made various reforms for prosperity and also fought for the freedom of Mewar and other Rajput states.
Maharana Sangram Singh II (1710-1734) son of Maharana Amar Singh II who made Mewar a peaceful and prosperous province. His death marked the downfall of Rajputana empire and emergence of Maratha power.
Maharana Jagat Singh II (1734-1751) son of Maharana Sangram Singh II was believed to be more interested in pleasures of life than governing the empire. His leniency and Maratha invasions led more to the downfall of Mewar.
Maharana Pratap Singh II (1752-1755) eldest son of Maharana Jagat Singh II was nowhere close to the legendary Rana Pratap . He was a very weak ruler who had strained relations with his father and ruled only for 3 years.
Maharana Raj Singh II (1755-1762) after ascending the throne made situations even worse for the Mewar dynasty in just three years. During his reign finances depleted to a great level.
Maharana Ari Singh (1762-1773) was uncle of Maharana Raj Singh II who had an uncontrollable temper because of which the nobles had started distancing from him. This further resulted in the decline of Mewar.
