Maharana Hamir Singh II (1773- 1778) son of Maharna Ari Singh died at a very young age but regained Chittor from invaders and Mewar saw a long peaceful time.
Maharana Bhim Singh (1778-1828) son of Maharana Hamir Singh ruled for a period of 50 years. During his rule Mewar was hard pressed for money robbed by Marathas. He had 32 sons. He also joined hands with the British.
Maharana Jawan Singh ( 1828-1838) son of Maharana Bhim Singh after succeeding a financially weak empire proved very ineffective even after making efforts to recover the empire.
Maharana Sardar Singh (1838-1842) was adopted son of Maharana Jawan Singh.
Maharana Swaroop Singh (1842-1861) formally adopted by Maharana Sardar Singh who had no son. He brought various administrative reforms which bore result with time and also prohibited sati system in Mewar. He built the Swaroop sagar lake.
Maharana Shambhu Singh (1861-1874) son of Shardul Singh was adopted by Maharana Swaroop Singh who filled the state treasury with sufficient finances. He set up girls schools during his empire. He is known to be a liberal ruler.
Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874-1884) cousin of Maharana Shambhu Singh served for the development of his empire. He had an artistic flair in him and also developed infrastructure for railway, water and road.
Maharana Fateh Singh (1884-1930) adopted son of Maharana Sajjan Singh was responsible for modernisation. During his rule Shiv Niwas Palace and Fatehsagar Lake were built.
Maharana Bhopal Singh ( 1930-1955) son of Maharana Fateh Singh reformed the social and judicial powers of the state and also constructed Bhopal Singh Dam.
Maharana Bhagwat Singh (1955- 1984) adopted son of Maharana Bhopal Singh during whose rule Rajasthan state was formed. During his time, the royal titles were abolished but he continued his works by converting Jag Niwas into Lake Palace Hotel.
