“Yaar ye zombies India mai kahan se aa gaye. Oh, globalization” as they quote in one of the dialogues, and believe me – this ‘globalization’ effect will have you laugh your guts out throughout the entire span of the movie. ‘Go Goa Gone’ is one of those movies that serves no substance, but is still worth every penny that you spend on it.

First things first, Saif Ali Khan is not the main lead and respect to casting crew to present him that way. The casting for this movie is apt and you’ll appreciate it when you head out to grab popcorn in the interval, but your stomach would be hurting with the laughter bursts and you’ll still be smiling remembering the dialogues.

Hardik (Kunal Khemu), Luv (Vir Das) and Bunny (Anand Tiwari) share a flat and work in a same company (read that only Bunny works, not all). Hardik and Luv share same love for joints and booze. ‘Shit’ happens and at the same time Bunny has to go Goa. So, all 3 decide to get some time off.

Post interval, Boris (Saif Ali Khan) comes into frame and thereafter it’s all about Zombies: Boris, Hardik, Luv, Bunny and Luna. Oh yes, we have a ‘Luna’ too in cast (read ‘not Scooty’ as Hardik says)! Luna (Pooja Gupta) happens to be Facebook friend of Luv and they meet during their Goa trip.

For those of you who love to laugh out loud, don’t mind few swear words and won’t cry for a moral at the end of the flick – Go Goa Gone is a complete YES.

Chemistry of Kunal and Vir is all thumbs up and Saif’s Russian accent and acting (which often seems too much!) is above average. Wait until you hear Hardik speaking, so called, ‘Russian’.

For those who are excited by, or upset over, appearance of Zombies in the movie should know that – you won’t even notice them during the entire act, as you would be tied up in the laugh riot during every encounter of the cast with the Zombies.

Music of this one has already gone viral and background score is pretty well done too. I will be adding an extra half point for the apt casting, and once you watch it, you’ll know why I did that.

‘Go’ and be part of the laughing riot at ‘Goa Gone’.
