“Salman Khan is most loved actor of India” says Mithun Chakraborty and you can witness a bit of it at PVR Udaipur. They are running 18 shows of one of the most awaited flick of the year – Ek Tha Tiger, and all of them are going house-full. The movie title, coupled with the fact that this was Salman Khan’s first time with
Yash Raj banner was enough for pulling me to witness the 2 hour thrill compiled on the genre of Action, Romance and Thrill. The movie revolves around the agent (Tiger – Salman Khan) who is sent by Indian Government to spy on a scientist teaching at Trinity College, Dublin to find out about his activities. During this pursuit, Tiger falls in love with the professor’s caretaker Zoya (Katrina Kaif) and also bumps into the fact that Zoya is a secret agent of ISI. Now, would they be able to sustain their Love? Would they be able to scroll through their
agent careers? You should see the flick to find the answers.
Movie starts with a blasting entry of Salman Khan, and when I say blasting,
I mean it. The actions performed in movie are well directed and one of the best in any of the Salman’s movie, that I have ever seen. Lot of
Parkour (a stunt technique with origin from France) is used with nearly no
Sunny Deol type actions (
if we exclude last few shots of movie). With her nail biting stunts, Katrina Kaif will surely surprise you– because what Bollywood heroines have done so far on the name of Action is either riding a vehicle or some kicks and boxes here and there; but the quality of stunts here are like none before. The background score of movie is awesome. You won’t feel disconnected with any frame at any time. The songs, on other hand, are average. And, as we know, if its Bollywood, then there has to be some
booty-popping in the flick and Ek Tha Tiger is no exception. The plot is bit obvious but the direction and casting is well done. Salman as Tiger/Manish, Katrina as Zoya, Ranvir Shorey as Gopi and Girish Karnad as Shenoy were well synced with their characters. The locations including Dublin, Istanbul, Chile and Kazakhstan were well framed and add to the
beauty coefficient
.
