Design

This bike also has the same design as Yamaha's popular R Series bikes. It has LED headlights and LED Turn Signals. In addition, there is a new design LED taillight at the back. In addition, there is a MotoGP-inspired swingarm.

Engine and Performance

This bike has a new 204 cc liquid cooling Single Cylinder 4 Valve engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 26.5 Bhp and 19.1 Nm of torque. Like the Yamaha R1, this engine also has Diamond Like Coating or DLC coating. This makes the engine performance much smoother.

The kerb weight of the bike is 149 kilograms. As a result, the Power to Weight Ratio is much better than other bikes. Like the R6 bike, this bike also has a four-point engine mount system. As a result, the stability of the bike is excellent even on bad roads.

Features

This bike has the facilities of Dual Channel ABS, Traction Control and Assist and Slipper Clutch. Apart from this, there is a bi-directional quick shifter. It also has a 5-inch colour TFT Display and navigation facilities.

Variants, colour options and price

The bike is available in three variants in the Indian market. The base variant is available in Metallic Black and Dark Bluish Grey colours. The price starts from Rs. 2,30,500. The YZF R2 Quick Shifter variant is available in Matte White Pearl and Racing Blue colours. The price starts from Rs. 2,39,500.

On the other hand, the top model YZF R2 M is available only in Metallic Grey colour. The price starts from Rs. 2,53,000. This bike will be available in the Indian market from mid-September.
