Theory of Acting Drunk – PK

One more jewel in the crown for the Mango population. Yes, it may read like an awkward amalgamation - Mango population and a crown, but that is what Raju Hirani’s movie brings to us; the common man being the subject and the subject that never bores.

Theory of Acting Drunk – PK

One more jewel in the crown for the Mango population. Yes, it may read like an awkward amalgamation – Mango population and a crown, but that is what Raju Hirani’s movie brings to us; the common man being the subject and the subject that never bores.

I would like to take a stand on the note as, Raju Hirani being the most dedicated director of our generation – plus he is the valid and a worthy postman to all of us, messaging us the fair and the best life hacks.

If there is a movie from Raju Hirani’s armoury then you are bound to get all this-

  1. Some brilliant acting performances;
  2. Dedicated music that makes the story complete;
  3. Each and every character in the movie bears a significant role, regardless of its length/time space on the screen;
  4. It actually shows the actor in Sanjay Dutt (Pun intended…);
  5. It always recites a wonderful message, along with wholesome entertainment;
  6. And it gives us the power to question; that we seldom use, once we step outside the theatre;

The very sensitive topic of focusing on self proclaimed “God Men” ideology does need someone to put some light on it.  Thus Raju Hirani held the torch at the right time and lit it to right intensity.  And Oh My God! does hold the credit to light the lantern, to showcase the economics of God Men.

Alas! We human beings desperately need an alien to show us what we are lacking and what we have been up to for a while now. In the name of God, we are living a life that is on the trot in terms of meaning.

PK shows the fun side of the philosophy, and like the previous movies from Raju Hirani, this too makes a valid entry in the movie books (if you ever think of assembling or maintaining a movie library, then please dedicate a shelf to this production house).

We visit a temple to bribe God, in a polite way; we shy away from feeding the hungry and insist on donating to the riches on their call.  We all have a place or a corner in our respective homes dedicated to God, where he lives.  Yet we visit him on a particular day every week, maybe because we want to tell him – I am still alive and I am yet to get the fruits of my donation…though I am not having a receipt.

Raju Hirani, attempts to show the simple things in life and he tries to explain how these simple things have become a mountain of difficulties just because of our ignorance.  It needs courage to come up with such a movie; that thankfully does not include item songs, unnecessary bed scenes, chain reaction of lip locks, newly found cherry of Bollywood – Ms. Leone, some skilled cut copy paste in terms of music and off course the gigantic marketing strategies of running to reality shows and bragging- please help us, by paying us to watch us.

The magic in a hug; a learning from Gandhi; chasing excellence rather than running behind success and the latest addition- God is one; he is what you want to believe.

And so people, before you get bored and close this post; thanks for reading and please it’s a humble request from me to go and watch PK, a wonderful journey of a being; that learns to lie and manages to hold back his tears once he sees our way of living on planet earth…Thanks
