1. Fateh Sagar– FS is the word; the place. From 1678 AD to 2015, the lake reflects many stories that have seen generations. The calm mornings to colorful sunsets, from long drive to walk on the paal, FS is like second home for all Udaipurites and outsiders fall in love with this place instantly. With the Mumbaiya Bazaar filling the appetite, it is difficult for anyone to go back home from FS.
2. Sukhadia Circle– Named after the CM of Rajasthan or the ‘Founder of Modern Rajasthan’ Mohan Lal Sukhadia, Sukhadia Circle encompasses white beauty, gardens, small pond and one of the busiest food bazaars of Udaipur. Every day is a fair here with the camel rides along the periphery, games for kids, sumptuous street food and being literally the Symbol of Udaipur.

Pichola Lake/Ghats– If FS is a busy visual of the city, then the Pichola Lake and the Ghats are the silent affairs that transcend people with its scenic beauty, calmness and towering palaces and havelis. Overlooking the glistening Lake Palace and Jag Mandir in the lake and the shimmering City Palace on the banks, one walk along the shore or a boat ride makes it even more pleasant.
4. Moti Magri- Also called as the Pearl Hill, Moti Magri is the memorial of the Rajpur hero Maharana Pratap towering over Fateh Sagar that gives a splendid view of the lake and Aravali range. This is the place where you relive the history of Mewar.

City Palace- The massive series of palaces built at different times from 1559 AD, the City Palace is one of the most visited places of Udaipur with thousands of visitors and locals imbibing the grandeur of rich culture, tradition and architecture of Mewar. The exquisite wall paintings, mosaics, decorative items, vintage furniture, Gokharas and antiques tell a story of the bygone era of Udaipur.
6. Jagdish Temple– Built in the year 1651 AD, the temple is an exemplary example of Indo-Aryan architecture and art. The area called the Jagdish Chowk is the main tourist place in the city that offers the traditional items including leather bags, mojris, Rajasthani dresses, wall paintings, miniature art, silver jewelry, vintage items and touristy food.
7. Gangaur Ghat- If you need to capture timeless beauty of Udaipur, then visit Gangaur Ghat. Located in the heart of the city, Gangaur Ghat witnesses the most celebrated Gangaur Festival every year. Tourists as well as localites sit by the steps; admire the sunset flickering on the waters of Pichola and gaze at the Aravali that completes the frame perfectly.
8. Saheliyon ki Bari– 48 young women attendants accompanied the princess to Udaipur as part of dowry for whom the Saheliyon ki Bari was laid. The lotus pools, marble pavilions, lush green gardens and elephant shaped fountains make this place beautiful.
The eminent fountains were made by the King himself to form an illusion of rain dancing in cadence with the dancing maids. The place enhances the romantic ambiance and is one of the most visited places of Udaipur.
9. Gulab Bagh– The rose garden was laid out by Maharaja Sajjan Singh near the palace with a gigantic library that today holds the most authentic, handwritten manuscripts and books. It is believed that some of the part of Satyarth Prakash has been written in this library called the ‘Saraswati Library.’
10. Neemach Mata Temple– This beautiful temple situated on the top of a hill gives a magnificent view of the entire city. With around 900 meter uphill, visitors can choose to take either stairs or uphill slope to witness the stone idol of Neemach Mata Devi. The temple also has an idol of Lord Ganesha and 3 west-facing lions made of stone.
11. Karni Mata Temple/ Dudh Talai– Worshipped as the incarnation of Goddess Durga, Karni Mata’s temple stands tall on the hill of Machla Magra to where rope-way facility has been started. Along the temple is the Dudh Talai, a small inlet of Lake Pichola that is adorned by two parks- ML Verma Garden and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park.
12. Sajjangarh– Also goes by the name Monsoon Palace, this towering palace stands atop a hill overlooking all the lakes. The most famous place to visit during Monsoons, the palace sometimes appears to be floating on the clouds if seen from the ground level.
Including the Biological Park along its periphery, the park has recently become the hot-spot for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
13. Badi Lake- Also known as Jiyan Sagar, the Badi Lake derives its name after Jana Devi, the mother of Maharaja Raj Singh. The strikingly beautiful and vast lake is known for its serenity and calmness. Devoid of commercial activities, the Badi Lake gives a view of a never-ending expanse that is one of the most attractive and soothing spots.
14. Rajiv Gandhi Park- The strategic location of the Rajiv Gandhi Park has made it one of the most trending parks of the city. The distinguished gardens, spacious children park and fully functional food court makes the park an interesting spot to visit for both foreigners and local visitors.
15. Nehru Park- One of the islands in Fateh Sagar Lake is the Nehru Garden which is one of the most popular tourist attractions with impressive fountains and gardens. The boat ride to the garden on the blue waters with the backdrop of Aravali range gives a sobriquet of ‘Second Kashmir’ to Udaipur.
