Udaipur- A growing Child

The last 10 years have brought many changes in the life of the city Udaipur. With the growing City size, there has been many recent opening of Malls, uplifting Udaipurities in fashion, a place to hangout, and of course shopping destinations, opening of some new private hospitals; making Udaipur a self sufficient city in terms of health care provider.

Not to forget about the number of Educational Institutes opening in the city including schools and colleges covering various disciplines like Engineering, Medical, Science, Commerce etc.

Also with the growing perks of the city, comes the jerks in the city including the ever growing traffic problem, parking problem, corruption and cleanliness issues, water & electricity problem and above all the LAW & ORDER in the city.

The recent events breeching the law & order of the city has put a question in all of our minds. Is Udaipur a BRAT child who is growing speedily, but doesn’t know the limits?

Udaipur has already proven its sufficiency in terms of ‘Tourism‘, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Medical facilities’, and ‘Education facilities. Now is the time it should live up to the expectation of “AAM-ADMI” who consists of 80% of Udaipur, who is fed up of traffic, corruption and law & order in the city.

It’s time the city should create such an environment so as to attract the coming generations to live and grow in the city rather than moving out of the city.

Udaipur is an upcoming field of different opportunities which new generations can avail by being in the city, doing something within the city and yet for the country. Now with the changing mindsets of coming generations, there are certainly less number of us who want to settle abroad.

Times have changed, the coming generation is way ahead of old thoughts, wants to be something, to do something, hence it’s time the CITY should be the place for us to live, grow & groom.

It’s time this CHILD learns to be there for its people. This is what we need India to be like, so that the young talent- our young generation uses their Potential to uplift our country INDIA and make it again the GOLDEN-BIRD as it was used to be. By: Akanksha Gohil
