Udaipur is not simply a city of lakes. It is also a city of talent. A lot many people in Udaipur have made their mark in various fields. The city has been blessed in a number of areas viz.painting, architecture, dress designing, food, world record holders, anchors, a variety of mocktails, bakery, chocolates, wedding photoshoots, pre-wedding photo shoots, party organisers, writers, teachers, sports, martial arts, dancing and singing and even job providers.
You don’t need skyscrapers or smart parking lots to be tagged as “developed”. If you have the talent and the zeal to follow and make your dreams come true and make a name for yourself along with contributing to the city’s development, then your city no matter how small deserves to be known as a developed city.
Udaipur has a number of traditional artists who have carved a niche for themselves not just in the city but also countrywide and abroad. Names like Shail Choyal, B.G. Sharma, Shahid Parvez, Anil Sharma and even KK art school are among the artists who are known in the outer world.
We also had our kite man who took the art of kite flying to a new height. Late Abdul Malik gave a new recognition to the kite culture and Udaipur came to be known on the globe for the Kite festival.
There are a number of wedding photographers who shoot pre-wedding as well, leaving an urge in the hearts of all to have their photo sessions done without losing time. The beauty of love and happiness comes out well in the photographs and videos.
There is no end to dress designing and food centres. People want to feed and decorate their city people instead of moving out and searching for jobs in their respective fields. The city is also rich by means of highly educated teachers who help students in framing their future. A variety of coaching centres for higher education and competitive exams proves that every preliminary help is available in the city itself.
Party organisers are just a call away. Whether you need a birthday party arrangement or a kitty party, you need an engagement party arrangement or a retirement party…every kind of arrangement is easily available and can be matched to your pocket size.
Content writers to give your company a boost, or provide new articles on your blog are also on demand in the city. Many people have taken to writing as part of their work-from-home job which also helps them stay away from the tension of fulfilling family needs on time. It has also helped to enhance and publicise the hidden talents of people who otherwise like to stay away from the regular kind of lime-light yet want to be known that they exist.
Martial arts trainers, a must for today’s children especially the girls, are also giving new hope and strength to the citizens of Udaipur making them strong enough to fight for their protection. The Zeal Martial Arts and Fitness Point, Sensei Raj Academy of Self Defence and Fitness and Women Self Defence Classes provide trainings in martial arts and self defence.
Music and Dance are a must for all. “If music be the food of love, then dance to burn the calories”(haha)…our city has a lot to offer in the areas of music and dance. A lot of ladies hold classes at home at nominal costs for those living in their area making it convenient for the females to avoid going around in far off places. Music both vocal and instrumental is taught in our city. Our city has the finest of voices who have also given stage performances on state level, country level and even abroad. Dance classes teaching western and classical are a relief for the people who have a flair for dancing.
When it comes to relaxation and entertainment, there are places which offer you fun and food under the same roof. The mall culture which was seen as an expensive affair has also given a variety to people by means of various tastes, both national and international. What more could we ask for?
Udaipur doesn’t cease to amaze me. The city has got plenty of job providing centres wherein people have used their contacts and knowledge for the benefit of the fellow citizens. Finding a job has now become much easier for many. This way people are staying in the city as budding entrepreneurs with whom people are finding easy connection, hence earning their livelihood while being with their own people which is a boon as they are also taking steps towards the development of this city.
Now, think…do we still need to think if we are developing or not? Well, we are. When you can circulate information and extend helping hands to your own people, to your own city…what can stop a city from being called developed? Development has come in thoughts and action and Udaipur is definitely benefitting from it.
Hats off to the City of Lakes which has love and concern in hearts without which progress would not have been easy.
