World Cup 2015 – Our Indian Cricket team

Cricket is such a wonderful game; it plays every phase of one’s life in just 6-7 hrs, just like it did in this World Cup.

Based on the last test series and one day tournaments nobody had really hoped that our team will win 9 matches in a row and will fight the semi finals as well. India has proved itself once again as a strong team which grasps its victory royally and embraces defeat gracefully.

Our team captain MS Dhoni, the person who knows exactly how to bring out the men in boys. He made sure that everyone plays to their full potential and his boys being the best team members did the same.

Many had this assumption that Indian cricket team lacks in bowling, but our spinners-and fast bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami , Ashvin and Sir Jadeja simply cleaned bowled the opposite team.

And when it comes to batsmen Indian team has a cream league. It doesn’t matter whether we are the top run getters or not, what does matter is that Indian batsmen know exactly how to get their job done.

Shikhar Dhawan who is ranked 7th in the top scorer of this World Cup proved his name in this series and stood as a “shikhar” in the IND v/s S.A match. Virat Kholi the heartthrob of every girl always plays amazingly, aggressively and yet retains the element of maturity, which makes him stand-out from the rest of his team.

Sadly yes, Indian team did not bring the trophy home but it sure did bring the entertainment and enjoyment to every Indian in the past few months, and as everything must reach its end someday so did our journey in this world cup ended yesterday.

But the fun and enjoyment that we had will last a little longer for sure. Like life, cricket game keeps bringing unexpected pleasant surprises and our team teaches us perfectly how to embrace them.
