A lot of information is available on the net and other sources regarding ancient and historical Indian characters. But what has grabbed the attention of children of foreign tourists?

COMICS containing details and stories of ancient and historical events and characters of India are grabbing the attention of kids of foreign nationals.  The sale of such comics on tourist spots of the city has shown encouraging figures. Since children from the world over have always been attracted to comics as their personal reading stuff, comics based on Indian history and the main characters that led to a lot of changes and reformations and contributed for Indian independence, inspiring the rest of the nation to fight for their rights are being loved and appreciated.

Comic characters like Chacha Chaudhary, Saboo, Superman, Dhruv etc.have been loved for decades. With the advent of mobile apps and technology, a lot has changed in the world of history. But tourists visiting India from all over the world are more interested in knowing Indian history for which comics are preferred as the depictions through pictures and dialogues are far more appealing to the kids than any e-reading.

Epics related to Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Shiv-Parvati and Bajrangbali are now available in English for better understanding for foreigners. Each comic is priced between 50 and 250 rupees.

Shiv Prakash Seth of Jagdish Chowk who has been renting comics for almost 20 years in the city had never ever dreamt that one day his source of income would see a dead end. With the tourists flocking the city showing interest in comics on Indian history, he has now started keeping English versions of the comics which has given a new turn to his business and earning. He is now a happy man as he doesn’t need to worry about earning bread for his family as he now sells comics in English language making it easier for the foreign crowd to understand India in a better way.
