Co-authored by Udaipur’s father-daughter naturalists duo Dr. Raza H. Tehsin and Arefa Tehsin, Do Tigers Drink Blood and 13 Other Mysteries of Nature (Publisher – Rupa & Co.) released recently.

This fun and informative book explains strange and wonderful facts from the world of nature, accompanied by detailed illustrations.

Raza Tehsin is the initiator of wildlife conservation movement in southern Rajasthan, Advisor to the govt. of Rajasthan on Wildlife for six years and the Hon. Wildlife Warden of Udaipur for more than three decades. He has helped form three wildlife sanctuaries, reported 14 new species from the region and has led many public spirited campaigns to save the wildlife and jungles around Udaipur.

Arefa’s other published books include Tales from the Wild (co-authored with Raza), The Land of the Setting Sun & Other Nature Tales (co-authored with Raza), The Elephant Bird (translated in six languages) and the rainforest based fantasy novel Iora & the Quest of Five. She’s currently the Honorary Wildlife Warden of Udaipur district, a columnist in The Hindu and Deccan Herald and writes articles/opinion pieces for various national dailies and magazines.
