It is about two groups of friends – The Fantastic Five and the Heaven’s Angels. They met because of a failure of a prank which was played on Saurabh, a member of Fantastic Five, by the other members of the same group. Now they enjoy life to their best, being intact into this new bond with each other.

Hasan Ali Gumani, author of the recently published fiction “…and they called it A Love Story” has tried his best to put all the needed ingredients to make his first published work a great reading experience.

As mentioned earlier, the story revolves around two groups of friends who enjoy, party and hang out together but then there arises a misunderstanding which affects all, especially two who further categorizes themselves as best friends. What was that misunderstanding? And do they fall apart or they keep the bond of friendship alive?

“The answer is in the story which is set in our own Udaipur,” says Hasan who started penning down the story in Feb 2012 and completed in 102 days. “The writing part was really amazing, though I had to burn the midnight oil but the experience was adventurous,” he added.

Sharing further about his experience of encountering with publishers, Hasan said, “Once I was done with writing, I immediately submitted the sample chapters to the publisher. But I was in a fool’s paradise thinking that publishing simply means submitting whatever you have written to the publisher. In the beginning I had to face rejections from a lot of publishers.”

“I corrected many things after n number of readings and finally it was during my job in Delhi that I met Zorba Publishers. I finally thanked my stars when they nodded to publish my work. And the book was finally launched on 6^th Sept 2014.”

Born and brought up in Udaipur, Hasan Ali did his schooling from St. Pauls and pursued graduation from MB College. Passionate about writing, Hasan moved to Hyderabad for post graduation.
