On 27 February, the maiden sport and recreation activity at SAEVAH brought out some amazingly talented individuals to the forefront. A Table Tennis tournament was organized on Saturday that saw four teams, Health Hulks, Quads of Fury, Fitness Phantoms, and The Striders, battle it out to become the TT champions of Saevah. Each team entered all five competitions, and Health Hulks and The Striders emerged as the tournament-winning teams winning two competitions each.

The competition was held on the recreation floor of Saevah on a global standard-sized TT table. The recreation floor was jam-packed with cheering and hooting from the other employees who came as an audience and supported their favorite tournament teams. While some were constantly watching the game, some spent time playing other sports such as carom, darts, etc., preparing for the many sports tournaments that will follow. 

The categories were men’s doubles and singles, women’s doubles and singles, and mixed doubles. Each of these categories saw some tough competition as Kunal Kesari (Customer Service Associate) emerged as the winner in the men’s singles and in the men’s doubles with his partner Rizwan Husain (Junior OP Associate). In the women’s singles match Anushree Kothari (SEO Manager) emerged as the winner with Manisha Mathur (Digital Advertising Manager) and Rupal Sharma (Junior Accounts Analyst) winning the women’s doubles. The mixed doubles tournament was bagged by Abhimanyu Ranawat (AVP Operations) and Manisha Mathur. The winners of the tournament were given achievement certificates and a cash prize.

The table tennis tournament was a first in the many sporting activities that Saevah has planned to help the employees develop coordination and teamwork while having fun.
