Adani Group Plans Rs 1 Lakh Crore Investment in Airport Business
Navi Mumbai International Airport set to begin operations from December 25, 2025
Dec 19, 2025 - Adani Group is looking to strengthen its presence in the country’s aviation infrastructure by planning to invest Rs 1 lakh crore over the next five years into its airport business.
"On the airport side, Rs 1-lakh crore in the next five years," said Jeet Adani to news agency PTI ahead of the launch of commercial operations at Navi Mumbai International Airport. Jeet is the youngest son of the billionaire businessman Gautam Adani and Director of Adani Airports.
According to the Director, the investment plan is based on sustained growth in the country’s aviation sector which is looking bullish and expected to expand at around 15-16% annually.
The Navi Mumbai International Airport is slated to start commercial operations from December 25, 2025. The Adani Group holds 74% stake in the Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd (NMIAL) which is developing the airport.
