Ali Asghar Khakerwala, a first generation entrepreneur from Udaipur, has been awarded the EU Champion Award by Amazon USA for recording the highest sales from India to the European Union.

Ali, owner of Udaipur based A&A International, now operating from his corporate office at Arvana, has been running his show for the last 6 years, catering to the foreign markets, in Corporate gifting, Handicraft and leather goods.

Young, energetic and a go-getter, Ali, who did his high school from St Gregorios, Udaipur and went on to pursue studies in Hardware and Networking, began his career in the Middle East.  Having a successful stint in the Middle East, he opted to come back to his native land and begin his own enterprise.  Having observed the buying patterns over the internet and understanding the modus operandi, Ali, with his small team, set up a lean organization and started exports.

His tryst with leather products – bags and wallets, began with corporate gifting and then he shifted to large scale retail.  Ali’s company, A&A International, entered the Amazon platform in May 2016 and did drop shipment to their regular customers across Europe via the Amazon Multi Channel Fulfillment model.

Having genuine Leather Wallets, Bags and other Leather products as their merchandise, A&A grossed the highest sales across Europe for the year 2016 from India under all categories – Fashion, Arts, and Electronics.  This achievement got them the AMAZON USA – EU Champion Award.

Globally, there are two sets of awards – Highest Sales USA and Highest Sales Europe.  The Award Ceremony was held at the Sahara Star Hotel in Mumbai.
