Amit Mishra gets Rajasthan Gaurav Award for Humanities

Dr. Amit Mishra, the Director of “Choti si Muskaan“, which was screened at the Udaipur International Film Festival UDIFF in 2012, has recently been conferred the Rajasthan Gaurav Award 2017 for his contribution to Humanity through the medium of films.

Amit, a member of Indian Film & Television Directors Association, Mumbai, and having done his Masters and Doctorate from Rajasthan University, has earlier also been conferred Best Director award at Rajasthan International Film Festival 2017 for his film “The Little Child“. His list of awards also include the Excellence certificate by Ministry of Film and Broadcasting NFDC, Govt of India for the same film, Humanity Achievers Award at New Delhi in 2016 and the Bhartiya Samta Aawrd 2016 on the 70th Independence Day celebration in Delhi.

Short films that touch on Social issues are the need of the hour

Having made more than 10 short films and documentaries, Amit has shot most of his films in and around Udaipur. He is currently working on 3 short films targetting social issues. These films too have been shot at St Mary’s, Goverdhan Vilas, Hiran Magri, Girva and Dabok in Udaipur. He was also a part of team for “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”, which was shot on location at Mavli.
