– Pavan Kaushik, Head – Corporate Communication, Hindustan Zinc
Pavan Kaushik explained that the bridge between professional education and industry requirements needs to be narrowed down. For that, the students must do research, data mining and forecast for the future.
With regard to CSR, Pavan Kaushik said, “CSR or Corporate Social Responsibility is not merely a duty or job profile being fulfilled by a Corporate. For doing CSR, it is very important to have a ‘Character’ that drives you to do CSR. I believe that the ‘C’ in CSR stands for ‘Character’. As for the ‘S’ of CSR, I feel that the ‘S’ stands for ‘Sustenance’. It is utmost important that the projects in CSR provide for a long lasting and sustained growth. Thirdly, I feel that the ‘R’ in CSR’ stands for ‘Result’ because impact assessment and measurement is also imperative.”
“30% of world’s poor children live in India. It is high time that we think about the future human resources of the country. There are many challenges that our country is facing. As an Institute, the students should collectively pick one area and work towards improving it”, he added.
