BSNL is going to give free calling services on all landline numbers from 9 PM to 7 AM commencing from 1^st May onward. The calls made to all mobiles and networks will not be charged between this time hours.

According to senior GM, this initiative is to increase new connection of BSNL landlines and stop old connections. BSNL has increased the monthly rental to 18-20% of rural-urban landline connections.

Besides this, there has been an increase in free calling to all networks from BSNL.
