TiE International Startup Competition (TISC2017) will be seeing participation from Udaipur, for the first time in its history.  TiE Udaipur Chapter, in its first year of inception, has become one of the participants in this competition, which will take the winners to the United States.

In its 6th year now, TiE’s International Startup Competition has changed orbit, from being an Asia only Competition, to now going Global where apart from Asia, teams from North America and Europe also compete.

TiE Udaipur is now accepting applications from aspirants for TISC 2016-17, with the final date for receiving applications being 18^th December 2016.

Applicants (both entrepreneurs and students) have the option to choose from two separate tracks.  First, the Rice Track which leads to the World’s Richest Business Plan Competition at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Applicant for this track MUST meet additional criteria including have at least 2 college level students on their team, one being a graduate level student currently enrolled.

The second track, the Investor Track, is open to all and will lead the teams to the World’s Largest Entrepreneurial Conference, TiEcon for the Global Finals.  TiEcon is TiE’s flagship event which takes place in Silicon Valley each May.  Applicants of this track will undergo intense mentoring prior to arriving and will be put in front of numerous investors and receive real time feedback from the experts in Silicon Valley.  Winning teams will be given a booth on the expo floor of TiEcon to pitch their companies real time in front of over 5,000 TiEcon attendees. Business Plans from Applicants registering from Udaipur will be reviewed by a panel and will be invited to a Curtain Raiser event, the dates for which will be intimated to the applicants separately after 18^th December. Subsequently, a Boot Camp will be organized where applicants will be assigned mentors who will help in fine tuning their business plans and presentations.

The fine tuned business plans will need to be presented to a group for customer validation of the product or service offered through the business.  Mock Presentations will be organized before the final presentations, which will determine the winners from Udaipur for the regional finals to be held in Delhi on February 24, 2017.
