On 8th May Puneet Sahalot visited Café Coffee Day, Gulab Bagh Udaipur & noticed the torn sofa covers there. He brought this to the notice of administration & staff by posting the photos on the official facebook page of café coffee day. Action was taken in almost a week on 16th may 2011.

Before 8th May, many customers complained about the bad condition of sofas but nothing worked out well till Puneet used the most effective way of social media i.e. Facebook.

Today, just after a week the official fan page administrator uploaded the renewed sofa’s photos along with mentioning Puneet with a thank you note.

Most of us still think facebook as a timepass tool but there are many who use it as a customer service desk.

Once again social media has proved that it is a powerful & revolutionary weapon which can bring upside down change in society & administration. When a social networking website like Facebook can contribute to such innovative measures, it can also reunite the country to take a firm stand against any evil practice of society.

These quick & fast actions on the complaints lodged indicate the power of social media and social networks. Sometimes it feels that same could happen with government actions. If social media can empower Indian brands and companies, then it can do the same with Government agencies too.
