Navratari Festival was kicked start in great style by Lakecity Honda, authorized dealer for Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI). Lakecity Honda delivered 121 vehicles on the first day of Navratri,  on 28th September.

The dealership was established in 2002 by Late Mrs.Mandakini Murdia, who was one of the leading women entrepreneurs of Rajasthan and also served as the first female president of Udaipur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI).

Director of Lakecity Honda, Varun Murdia fondly remembers, “When we started the dealership back in 2002, we had only one model, Honda Activa (100 CC Automatic Scooter).”

Murdia said, “The first few months we sold around 40-45 scooters per month. Right now, we have a complete range of products including 3 Scooters; Honda Activa (110 cc), Honda Deo (100 cc) and Honda Aviator (110 cc) and 7 Motorcycles; Honda CB Twister (110 cc), Honda CB Shine (125 cc), Honda CBF Stunner (125 cc), Honda CBF Stunner PGM-Fi (125 cc), Honda CB Unicorn (150 cc), Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler (150 cc) and the latest addition Honda CBR250R (250 cc).”

“It has been a delightful journey which we started with an average monthly sale of 40-45 two wheelers and currently we are doing with an average of 400-450 per month,” expresses Varun.

Anticipating the festive season, Varun said, “This navratra looks very promising as there are around 200 plus fresh bookings that we have made and also because we have substantially increased supply by HMSI after the launch of new manufacturing facility this year. We hope to clock our ever highest volume in the month of September & outgrow it in the month of October.”

When asked about future plans of Lakecity Honda, Varun replied, “During the course of this beautiful journey, Lakecity Honda has delivered around 20,000 vehicles in and around Udaipur. Customer satisfaction has been immense.”

“Now our immediate goal is not to make our customers feel satisfied but to make them feel pleasant, we realize that we not only need to increase our workshop capacity but also improve our quality of servicing,” he said.

Varun informed us that Lakecity Honda is very soon moving to a newly constructed 8000 sq. Ft. state of the art workshop nearby the centrally located showroom and also extending and completely renovating the present showroom within the next 2 months.

“Our new workshop will be able to attend 120 vehicles in a day and will have added security and quality checks by the management to continuously check the quality of service provided by our personnel. Looking at the ever expanding product range and volumes, this facelift is much needed,” added Varun .

Varun told UT, “The newly renovated showroom and new workshop are going to be a way of saying “Thank you” to our customers on the occasion of our 10th Anniversary next year and a sign of our deep gratitude.”
