The first of its kind manufacturing house that will produce Pulp from Banana Tree Trunk started today in Udaipur. The company is a brain child of young scientist and budding entrepreneur Ashish Khatri.

The first of its kind manufacturing house that will produce Pulp from Banana Tree Trunk started today in Udaipur. The company is a brain child of young scientist and budding entrepreneur Ashish Khatri.

The company – Brother Impex was inaugurated by social worker Sohanlal Jain and Veena Khatri. General Manager of the company Inder Singh Bhati and Project Manager Amit Shrivastav were also present on the occasion.

A press conference was held after the inauguration to reveal the objective of the company which is perhaps, going to affect the local market big time.

Ashish Khatri, Director of Brother Impex informed that the water coming out from the tree trunk while making the pulp will help in making fertilizers for farms. For this, water hyacinth, which is considered hazardous for water bodies, will be used. Production of Paper for daily use will also increase through the process.

All paper making companies will be benefited with the pulp produced by Brother Impex, informed Basant Jain, CEO.

He said, “Till now local paper manufacturer used to buy raw material from other cities, now their needs will be fulfilled through Brother Impex.”

General Manager of the company, Inder Singh Bhati informed that the product is completely eco friendly and cost effective. The pulp made by Brother Impex will be economically better than other pulp available in market.

Ashish Khatri discovered the technique to produce several useful things from Banana Tree. Later, Ashish made India’s first Banana Tree Peeling Machine. In 2006, he was honored by then President of India A.P.J Abdul Kalam and in 2012 the technique was awarded among 135 countries.
