GITS Students crack knuckles at Smart India Hackathon 2018
Two teams of CSE Department of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies have brought laurels to the institute at the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2018.
Two teams of CSE Department of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies have brought laurels to the institute at the Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon 2018.
Team NAMZAK, which proposed a solution for the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for implementing Smart Logistic Services to help the Self-Help Groups has won a Cash award of Rs. 25,000/. The team of third year CSE students comprised of Arpit Sharma, Ankit Jagan, Kailash Gayari, Aaditya Sharma, Mukesh Nath and Zenab Wagla (First year CSE).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisages a Digital India to bridge the digital divide in India. Digital India drive promotes digital literacy and makes development a comprehensive mass movement along with taking governance within everyone’s reach in India. In order to work towards PM’s vision, MHRD, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Centre (i4C), and Persistent Systems organized the Smart India Hackathon 2017. This was a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country. The initiative was a huge success. To reiterate the efforts, MHRD, AICTE, i4C, and Persistent Systems organized the 2nd edition of this initiative– Smart India Hackathon 2018.
Team Fine Fettles which proposed a solution for the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for implementing a platform for providing health awareness to rural people through videos have won the 5th position along with a cah prize of Rs. 10,000/. This team of Second year CSE comprised of Nimmit Sethiya, Rohit Sainik, Simmi Pachori, Paridhi Bhatnagar, Nilesh Paliwal and Naman Sanadhya was mentored by Dr. Raghuveer, Dean R&D, HOD CSE and Shruti Jain, Asst. Professor CSE Department.
