Udaipur, April 11, 2025 - After a week-long pause, gold is surging once again. Yesterday, on April 10, pure gold in Jaipur jumped by Rs 2,700, reaching a new record level of Rs 94,000 per 10 grams, while jewellery-grade gold rose by Rs 2,600 to Rs 87,700 per 10 grams - the highest single-day gain of the year so far.

This marks the 20th time since January 22 that gold has touched a record level. Previously, on April 3, gold had touched a high of Rs 93,800.

Yesterday, domestic Futures market MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange) saw gold reaching a new all-time high of Rs 91,850. This marks a rise of nearly Rs 5,000 from the April 7 low. In fact, on April 7, gold had briefly dropped to Rs 86,710, marking a sharp short-term low. Globally, gold is currently trading above $3,100 per ounce.

This surge in gold prices is largely due to increased demand for gold as a safe-haven asset, triggered by the escalating trade war between the US and China.

Silver also recorded a steep rise of Rs 3,300 in a single day, reaching Rs 95,500 per kg. However, silver is still Rs 8,500 per kg below its all-time high.
