Udaipur, January 31, 2025 - In recent days, the rising price of gold, owing to the global crisis, has once again set a record. In Udaipur, gold has reached Rs 83,500 per tola for the first time. This is the highest price ever in Udaipur. In January alone, the price of gold has increased by more than Rs 5,000.

Three months ago, the price of gold was Rs 80,000 per tola in Udaipur. It briefly fell below this level before surging again. Readers may recall that on January 1, 2025, the price of gold was Rs 78,850. This indicates the rapid rise.

The fluctuations in the gold market are primarily because of the volatility in global markets. Factors influencing gold prices include global market trends, the dollar-rupee exchange rate  and import duties. The fall of the rupee against the dollar, particularly after Donald Trump took over as US President, has been a major factor in the rise in gold prices. The recent statements made by Trump have also affected the markets worldwide. Calls for a reduction in interest rates and a decline in the dollar index have made gold more expensive.
