The inauguration was done by Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar who praised the initiative and considered it as a very much needed service for the increasing health conscious masses of the city.

A press conference was organized just after the inauguration ceremony which was addressed by Raman Sood, Managing Director of the store. While describing the company’s status in national and global market, Raman Sood said, “Grand Slam with its series of sophisticated fitness equipment is adhered to reach various Indian cities through retail market. The outlet in Udaipur is the first in Rajasthan state,” he informed.

The company has products of several international brands like Kettler, Turbuster and Sports Art Fitness; several products will be available in this newly opened fitness store of Udaipur. Raman Sood says, “Our focus is more on domestic or home fitness equipments and not the commercial market of Udaipur. However, we are not going to ignore that particular segment and will introduce more products in the coming months.”

“We have complete body fitness equipments available, we can even order if any particular product is missing and the customer will receive it within 4-5 days of time,” Raman Sood told UT. The shop has fitness tools for both weight loss and weight gain including body toning equipments.

Raman Sood said, “We give complete assistance and guidance to our customers about handling the equipments and this is absolutely free of cost, however we don’t answer or comment on nutrients and health related queries, there are health consultants in the city for that.”

H e said, “Exercise is not only to make you healthy and fit but it also helps in fighting with work stress. If fitness products become easily available in retail market then it will surely change the perspective of common man regarding workout and gym.”

Grand Slam Equipments have retail outlets available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other metro cities of India. The company is optimistic and all set to launch more retail stores in Indian market.
