Central GST Commissionerate is holding a "Central GST at your Service" camp in every district to educate tax professionals and tax payers on the GST norms.
Under this program, the first camp was organised on Thursday, 27 February in Udaipur. All 11 districts under the GST Commissionerate in Rajasthan were covered in this program, which aims to educate taz payers and taz professionals on the latest changes to GST norms and regulations.
Dr BS Meena, GST Commissioner, in his opening address said that the changes to GST over the last few months have made the procedure far more simpler. He added that departmental level sections have been formed to address the concerns and respond to queries from businessmen, specially traders.
Piyush Bhati, a senior executive in the Commissionerate said that the camp will provide information on the changes applicable under the new regime, from April 1 2020 and filing of returns.
He added that those businesses who were under Rs 5 Crore turnover, have the privlege of filing returns in the next quarter.
As per current statistics, 23% ot the tax payers can submit their returns by pushing a single SMS. Suggestions and concerns were also noted.
