Vedanta Group’s zinc and silver manufacturing company Hindustan Zinc was awarded with CIO100 Award for excellent accomplishment and innovation in the field of Information Technology. They were also awarded CIO Astute100 award for Communications Technology System’s exceptional contribution.

The awards were given in the grand ceremony held at J.W. Marriot, Pune on 6^th September 2013 by IDG Media India’s President and CEO Louis DeMello. He gave the awards to Hindustan Zinc’s Vice- President and IT Head P.K. Nijawan.

Hindustan Zinc was also awarded NASSCOM IT User Award 2012 for its excellence in Innovation in IT.

Hindustan Zinc does its Production Data, H.R. Executive and other office work through SAP Technology. For excellence in performance in above all works, Hindustan Zinc was awarded SAP ACE Awards-2011 for ‘Best Run IT Organization’.
