Hindustan Zinc Inaugurates CSR Projects Worth Around Rs 7 Crore in Rampura Agucha

Udaipur, Aug 14, 2025 - The development projects undertaken under CSR by Hindustan Zinc Limited are not only enriching the community and development but also providing commendable employment opportunities. Asind MLA Jabbar Singh Sankhala said this at the inauguration of development works worth around Rs 7 crore in Rampura Agucha and surrounding areas.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, MLA Sankhala said such infrastructure projects by Hindustan Zinc have been built with top-notch quality. He appreciated the company's efforts in contributing to the development of communities around the Rampura Agucha mine.

The Rampura Agucha mine of Hindustan Zinc is not only providing employment and CSR-based development but also uplifting the local communities.

At the programme, Hindustan Zinc inaugurated several infrastructure and community development projects worth over Rs 6.5 crore in Agucha and nearby villages. These initiatives, started under the company’s CSR programme Samadhan and other social development schemes, aim to improve the standard of living of local communities.

Also present at the ceremony were Rampura Agucha Mine Cluster IBU CEO Ram Murari, Agucha Sarpanch Jyoti Nagar, social worker Jitendra Nagar, CBO Hurda Block Ashalata, Deputy Head CSR Abhay Gautam, Head Admin and External Relations Abhimanyu Ranawat, Security Head Ajay Sharma and Agucha Mine Workers Union General Secretary MK Soni and Hemraj Choudhary.

The inaugurated projects include a fodder unit under the CSR Samadhan project in Mulji Ka Kheda, and the development of Agucha Chauraha under newly constructed CSR infrastructure works, which includes a bus stand and CC road. A kitchen shed has been built at the Rampura Community Center, and three new classrooms have been constructed at the Agucha Girls’ School.

Under the Hindustan Zinc Agucha Mine Workers' Welfare Fund, a community center has been established in Agucha. In Bherukheda-1 School, two classrooms, a boys' toilet, a girls' toilet, and a tin prayer shed have been constructed. Additionally, in Devpura village, a 630-metre-long CC road and a new classroom at the primary school have been built. In Kotri village, a 2.5-kilometre-long gravel road and the Kotri culvert have been constructed.

On this occasion, Ram Murari emphasised that Hindustan Zinc is committed to sustainable development, quality education, sanitation, healthcare and livelihood improvement. These newly inaugurated projects are a testament to that commitment.

With each initiative, Hindustan Zinc is moving towards holistic community development by addressing the needs of education, health, infrastructure, livelihood, and environment in an integrated manner. The company’s long-term vision is to build self-reliant communities that grow alongside its business and ensure inclusive and sustainable progress for future generations.
