Hindustan Zinc’s project “Zero Solid Waste Discharge” from Zinc Smelter Debari, Udaipur secured the 2nd Runner up position under ‘Green Breakthrough Initiative’ category at the 31st QualTech Prize held in Mumbai on 8 November 2019.
74 projects were presented in Improvements, Innovation and Green Breakthrough categories from various Service and Manufacturing Sectors.
The prize is a recognition to the efforts towards sustainable and environment friendly initiatives.
In 2018, Vedanta's Sesa Goa Iron Ore was a winner in the Continuous Improvement category under Value Added Business for its coal making processes.
