TiE Udaipur organized their second interactive event on the 2^nd day of August, 2015 at Hotel Q, Udaipur.  Two eminent business professionals – Saurabh Saxena and Gaurav Gupta were called for a breakfast interaction with participants. The event was attended by about 50 participants, which included 14 Charter Members and invited guests from business and start-up communities as well as students from IIM Udaipur.

The event started with a brief introduction by the TiE Udaipur President, Manish Godha about TiE Udaipur.  A talk by Saurabh Saxena who is a serial entrepreneur, an angel investor and CEO of holachef.com followed immediately.  Saurabh has also helped Toppr.com with go-to-market strategy. He co-founded Aakar Knowledge Solutions, acquired by Mexus Education (Bilakhia Group) and built a pan-India educational products & services business covering over 2000 schools in India and 10 countries under the brand name iKen.  He is also a member of Powai Lake Ventures, an Angel Investment Group. Saurabh spoke about entrepreneurship which ended up with an interactive Q and A session.

It was followed by a talk by Gaurav Gupta.  Gaurav (Guru) Gupta, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley is a MBA from Chicago GSB (The University of Chicago Booth School Business), where he graduated with Honours, made it to the Dean’s List, and was Co-chair of the Investment Banking Group.  A career investment banker, he leads Transportation and Infrastructure sectors (Airlines, Logistics, Railroads, Travel, Shipping, Trucking, Security) in the Investment Banking Division at Morgan Stanley.  He shared interesting perspectives on business growth and scale, entrepreneurship environment in the US, as may be relevant to businesses in India.

The session concluded with a panel discussion including the above named speakers and Manish Godha, CEO Advaiya, Udaipur. It was quite an interactive sessions covering a range of topics from funding, valuation to family businesses.

The event on Sunday was followed by an interaction between President, TiE Jaipur – Rajneesh Bhandari and former TiE Global Board Member – Mahaveer  Pratap Sharma with members of the TiE Udaipur Executive Committee members that included President Manish Godha, Vikram Ranka, Sandeep Bapna, Madhukar Dubey, Ravi Soni and Abhishek Singhvi at the EC Meeting and Charter Member Dinner on Monday, 3rd August.
