Hindustan Zinc received yet another accolade, the “CII ITC Sustainability Award 2014- Outstanding accomplishment” under the Corporate Excellence, in a glittering function organized in New Delhi.
The award was given by Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for Environment & Forest. Also present on the dais were Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, Y.C Deveshwar, Chairman, ITC and Chandrajit Banerjeee, Director General, CII.
On behalf of Hindustan Zinc, the “CII ITC Sustainability Award 2014- Outstanding accomplishment” was received by Mahesh Todkar, Unit Head (Unit-I), M.K Yadav, Head Environment and Hitendra Bhuptawat, Manager IMS & Sustainability; all from Chanderiya Zinc-Lead Smelter.
