Indian Institute of Materials Management, Udaipur Branch hosted an Industry Awareness Programme on ZED (Zero Defect, Zero Effect)  Scheme launched by the Ministry of MSME, and Quality Council of India governed by Government of India with specific focus of enhancing global competitiveness of Indian MSME sector in manufacturing activity. This programme was held on 17th March, 2017 in association with Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry at Vigyan Samiti Bhawan, Ashok Nagar, Udaipur.

The programme was attended by members of IIMM and industry experts to develop, implement and promote ‘ZED’ culture in their business processes for creating better synergy of performance efficiencies and brand building. Understand the importance of ZED and its assessment Model and Subsidies associated with it for MSME in manufacturing sector.

The event was presided over by Officiating Chairman of IIMM, Udaipur Branch, Avinash Bhatnagar and concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajesh Jain, Secretary, IIMM’s Udaipur Branch. Dignitaries included Past Chairman and National Counselor, K. S. Mogra, UCCI President, V. P. Rathi and Sushil Sharma, Consultant & appointed official of Quality Council of India.  Sushil Sharma was also the Keynote Speaker of the evening elaborating the scheme, procedures and benefits. Senior officials from across spectrum of different industries like Wolkem India Ltd, Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt. Ltd., Shilpa Group of Industries, Regen Powertech Pvt. Ltd., Manvin Consulting Inc.,Uni trade India besides others presented impactful insights which made the event more purposeful and absorbing. While lauding the ZED initiative, deliberations of the interactive session presented a viewpoint that credible recognition of ZED culture and Quality Management is the way forward to eliminate the downstream inefficiencies of a business ecosystem that can actually put Indian industry to a position of eminence in the global marketplace
