India and US are set to forge a partnership on Innovation, focusing on shifting spotlight from discovery to commercialization.  This initiative “Innovation Forum” will be formally launched on August 29 during the 2^nd  Annual Strategic and Commercial Dialogue between the two nations.

Focusing on the relationship between small businesses, investor communities, academic researchers, MNCs and the government or regulators that are key players driving the innovation ecosystem, the forum aims to shift the paradigm from discovery to commercialization, said Arun Kumar, Director General of US & Commercial Services.

Hosted by FICCI, the launch event at the second edition of the forum will highlight planned activities and featuring groups that are already showing leadership in the US-India innovation space.

Well known and renowned businessmen and academicians including Devang Khakhar, Director of IIT Mumbai, Vijay Chandra, Chairman, CEO of Strand Life Sciences and Didar Singh, DG of FICCI will be part of the forum.
